“Did you ever watch a child follow a bubble?
Did you ever watch a child giggling and running?
Did you ever watch a child playing?

The right to childhood cannot be interrupted by abuse, concern, & painful events.
This will simply lead to scars and painful memories.
Raise a child to see justice…
Raise a child not to fear speaking up for self and others…
Raise a child to love self…
Raise a child to love others…
Raise a child to accept everyone…
Raise a child and give them the right to childhood…”

#MOI Raise a child and remember they are children!

& Meet Abigail, the main character of the 5 short stories in Mommy, I Am a PACER.
Abigail is a girl who’s made a difference in her community by becoming a PACER, but what is a PACER?

A PACER is a person who exhibits perseverance, agility, clarity, empathy, and respect. In this collection of short stories, each book represents one of the letters of the word PACER and its attributed characteristics. Join Abigail as she perseveres in welcoming new members into her community, demonstrates her ability to make quick and successful decisions, learns to resolve conflicts by talking openly and honestly with others, and so much more!

Mommy, I’m a PACER encourages children to adopt the attitude of a PACER and teaches them how to interact with others and react positively to many different day-to-day situations.

“I GOT AN AWARD” The Story of Agility

“I GOT AN AWARD” The Story of Agility from Mommy, I Am A PACER

***Getting close to the final game of the season, Coach Roger asked us to join him to the soccer field one day before the match. He ordered Pizza to the field, and he placed blankets on the grass where we sat and had dinner. Then he said:
“I am sure you are wondering why we are dining together on our field. Usually, people dine together as a family and as friends at home. Tomorrow, as you play, I want you to remember that this is your home, you should be proud of what you have accomplished regardless of the results. Play for you, for your friends and family, have fun but defend your home.
(handing the award to Abigail, the main character, he said) I am proud of you and here is your award!”***

#MOI the author, I wrote this book after years of experience as a Middle School Director, and being the Coordinator of Peace Education. My goal was to establish a safe zone for children, to have them grow with values, and learn from their mistakes.
I used to tell them, you are allowed for one mistake per day with zero consequences, as long as you do not repeat the same mistake…
We used to talk, and analyse their behaviour, and the repercussion of their actions. I wanted to create ambassadors of peace for them to go out to the world and make it a better place.
Did I succeed? I was able to reach many, I saw their pain, and felt their anger…
Why would kids at young age, have so much anger, pain, and hatred, that they can hurt others… what is happening in the world?
How can they sleep at night?
Will this pain, they are causing others, shadow them as adults?
Are there bullies in the adult world, will they become one, or would they heal?
I tried, I kept on trying, and then I wrote this book of five short stories, with the intentions to keep the mission of change alive, and to have this book reach every child, and parent.
The child will co-illustrate with the author and express his/her feelings, while understanding the values and characteristics of change and of being a PACER.

I hope you enjoy it as adult, as a parent, and with your child!

What if parents played their role differently?

“What if parents played their role differently? a question that came to mind when watching the movie WONDER. It reminded me of the days I spent at school when I was the coordinator of the Peace Education Program and the director of Middle School.

Being the coordinator of Peace Education allowed me to work closely with the children. Not only I coordinated the program, but I had the honor of introducing it to my fellow colleagues and teaching it in the classroom.
Can I say I only taught, no, we lived by example, breaking the law of justice to build empathy, breaking followers to empower leadership, breaking the right thing to ensure they do things right, and on…
As an example, the policy stated to send students involved in physical confrontation home, and suspend them for a few days, I believed in keeping them on campus the first time such incidents occurred, and let them go through the self-assessment process, away from their classmates, analyzing the situation, discussing the different solutions and reactions they could have proceeded to, and finding a mechanism to fix the situation among each other.
I used to involve other students in the process so the main student involved in the conflict does not feel isolated, and make of the situations lessons used to change the way we think, and mainly react.
Lengthy process, yes, time-consuming, of course, worth every penny spent on the education sector, yes, yes, and again, yes!

Did I witness change? I guarantee to you that between the Peace Education Program and my role as a Middle School director, I witnessed change among the different generations, and specifically with those who were facing difficulties.

& if you think Middle School was a crime scene, try elementary, or even pre-school… why was the question, why do you feel better when you hurt another child, why do you isolate other children and ban them from playing with you and your friends, why do you make fun of others and intimidate high achievers, why do you feel you are better than a child with physical challenges and learning difficulties, why do you judge, and be the prosecutor…

Why? it is the main question, and if you believe what I believe that all children are born angels, so this means that life circumstances changed them, and made them go through wanting to prove to the world that they are invincible and strong enough to hurt others, while deep down bullies are revealing one message, in my opinion, I NEED HELP!

Throughout my twenty-some years of experience working with children of different age group, from daycare to high school graduates, I tell you one thing, I saw pain buried in children, growing when not treated, but as well, I saw change transforming bullies and persecutors in leaders and Ambassadors of Change.

Did I do it alone? no. Children played a major role, fellow educators did, and of course parents. So going back to my first question what if parents played their role differently? Yes, I do believe that paying attention to every little detail and change in our child’s behavior, is the starting key towards understanding what they go through… teaching children to accept others as they are, not to judge, not to compare, and see other children eye to eye, among a list of many other things, is the only thing that will raise acceptance of self and others…
I end with one sentence, a standing ovation to all those who understand and accept that their children might be going through a phase and getting their emotions out at other children, and another standing ovation to those taking the lead in being Change Ambassadors in their community!”

Happy 1st and Blessed New Year🎉🎉
A year like no other, what can I say
but at least we had a zoom drink & dinner with each other
better than the 1919 pandemic days
when people wondered whether dead or alive

I wish some sense into people’s minds
Beirut was Chaotic and people got wild
Drinking and Dancing in house and out
No masks, hugging and kissing the year goodbye
Please God save this world and all
Use your magic wand and strike us all
I wish to cross the upcoming healthy and sane
So I can visit and hug you to wish you a better year

My poem does not rhyme
similarly those days
but who has put the rules
other than probably those breaking it

Thanks to the tech world
I was not alone
and now I connect with you
to share the chronicle

Happy Blessed 1st
Hope to see you between the 1st and the last of 2021!
Hugs & Kisses

The letting go phase!

“The letting go phase is tough, let go through the breakdown…
Mother & Baby, when stopping the breastfeeding and feeling guilty for weaning the baby; and baby taking the time to adjust…
Mother & Toddler, going to the daycare, when both need that break and not able to let go…
Mother and child, when the child goes to school, and then again having difficulty adjusting…
Mother and adolescent, when the teenager wishes their parents would go invisible for a while, giving them room to spread their wings…
Mother and young adult, when the boyfriend and/or girlfriend pops on board, and then we as parent, want to take charge, and have them avoid any heartbreak…
Let’s involve the dad, parent and child, they go to college, and we look around, they want to choose the country, major, and life… when none needs our opinion much, they accept it or ask for it out of respect, but…

We accept all, swallow all, digest all, until one day, they come through that door, and ask that boyfriend or girlfriend, what do you think, and then, forget to look at us for consent, and we have to accept and expect more so we don’t lose them… yes that child exists no more, and had moved on and away… Life!”
#MOI wishing that child would teach me now how to let go!
Cheers to the course of life! love you my daughters!

Let us Invest in Love…

‘Let us Invest in Love!
Let us discuss love openly, let us not be shy, let us not hide from reality…
You love her, tell her
You love her, show her
You love her, make her feel special
You love her, kiss her
You love her, let her feel it
You love her, hug her, say it with actions, fix her favorite coffee, attend her favorite romantic movie, surprise her with a flower
Do it for her…
& remind her of the first day you met, why you loved her, the first kiss, and the first bite of the apple!

Invest in love, invest in your relation, invest in your home…
Make every day feel like the first day…
As for us women, life is a two way street, we need to ensure the was back, we hold the magic wand, we hold the key to success, the right word at the right time… I know there are times where the street is a one way only, but let us try to dig a hole, big enough to invest in love before we bury life itself!”

New way of thinking… call it through the universe!

“New way of thinking… feel it, you will see it; believe it, you will live it!
Because I believe, as we attract what we fear, we are definitely going to attract what we want!
Complicated? no, if you train your mind to see prosperity, your body will open up to embrace positiveness!
Try sitting in a room and film your facial reactions… think about fear, your facial muscles will retract, think about beauty, walking in a green field, sitting by a fireplace with a glass of wine, with the love of life… your facial muscles will relax and that is when people see happiness on your face and wonder about what is making you happy and giving you that comfort!
Try it, believe it, live it… do you remember the statements, don’t be negative you will attract it, or when people say about a third party they have a black aura… this has to do with the unseen of the person, and how their presence affect their surroundings.
In summary, stay positive, believe that you have the power to attract what you want, and start living a new life!”
