“About Peace & Conflicts

It takes two to create a conflict; it takes one to facilitate peace.

School time is crucial; this is where we build and start what should be a given routine.
Unfortunately, although many expect kindness to be natural, respect to be a must, and humanity to be part of our daily life, we get shocked at the back-to-school time with some children here to mark their territories.

What happened during the summer?
Where are all the ethics, skills, and good manners we worked on and helped children develop and understand?
Where are the empathy, love, and humility we discussed and praised in action the year before?
Sadly, many dropped their wings in the summer and thought that traits, characters, and rights were seasonal.

Back to ground zero, instructors! Bullying is back, and as an eight-year-old child told me yesterday, THEY ARE MEAN, & I DON’T KNOW WHY!

Dear parents, fellows in education, and in parenthood, children learn by example; we do not take breaks from being kind, humane, loving, or understanding.

As I said in the beginning, It takes two to create a conflict; it takes one to facilitate peace.

#MOI, I am the author of MOMMY I AM A PACER, and I remind you, we must start yesterday…

it’s a life, not a book;
it’s a child, not a character;
it’s a reality & not a story!

About the book MOMMY, I AM A PACER and the main character in the five short stories.
She believed she could change the world with communication, love, & kindness; through perseverance, she did make a difference in her community.
She helped Amber, Omar’s dog, fit in his new community; both, Amber and Omar, represented the new kids on the block.
She showed agility; she was there for the team and proved the importance of teamwork.
She understood that any conflict must be addressed openly; she followed the guidance of her grandfather to solve the differences with her friends.
She had empathy and saw those left behind, and more importantly, she connected with them to include them in all activities.
She knew that everyone was unique and had their strength; given time, and respect, they shall prove themselves.
That was the main character in the five short stories.
Inspired by my experience with children as coordinator of Peace Education and the Middle School Director, I needed her daily; I tried to push the students to see how they can change the world with communication, love, and kindness.
Her name was Abigail; what is yours?”

#MOI we all need an Abigail, in our child’s life, and better, we all need our children to be an Abigail.
Grab a copy for your child, a let’s change the world, together!
Child will co-illustrate with the Author.

“Did you ever watch a child follow a bubble?
Did you ever watch a child giggling and running?
Did you ever watch a child playing?

The right to childhood cannot be interrupted by abuse, concern, & painful events.
This will simply lead to scars and painful memories.
Raise a child to see justice…
Raise a child not to fear speaking up for self and others…
Raise a child to love self…
Raise a child to love others…
Raise a child to accept everyone…
Raise a child and give them the right to childhood…”

Read the book with your child & let them change the world by becoming a PACER!

Mommy, I Am A PACER, a series of 5 short stories in one book that will encourage children to adopt the attitude of a PACER and teach them how to interact with others and react positively to many different day-to-day situations.

A PACER is a person who exhibits perseverance, agility, clarity, empathy, and respect. In this collection of short stories, each book represents one of the letters of the word PACER and its attributed characteristics. Join Abigail as she perseveres in welcoming new members into her community, demonstrates her ability to make quick and successful decisions, learns to resolve conflicts by talking openly and honestly with others, and so much more!

Abigail is a girl who’s made a difference in her community by becoming a PACER. Give your child the opportunity to be inspired by Abigail and co-illustrate their copy of the book with the author.

Were you a bully…

blogger about children mental health, book that changed my life, children book, victim of bullying

“Were you a bully… at school?
Are you a bully, as adult?

Bullying, the disease of the century, the no remedy disease except by conscience, by parent’s acknowledgment, therapy, and follow up!
Yes, harsh, but truth be told, and truth it is.

But why would a child gets his emotions out and hurt others?
Well, in short, bullies were hurt, neglected, not heard, not seen at home, not getting attention, hurt at home, ignored, helpless… they want to feel existence so therefore they overpower others, manipulate them, gossip, attack their victims physically, cause them emotional stress, social isolation, in a way that will make them feel stronger; once the victims are isolated, they feel cool & good about the fact that others are following them, ignoring the closeness out of fear, and that is when they celebrate success!

How do bullies pick their victims… usually, they prey on the quiet, shy, and those with high grades, who are better athlete, liked by the instructors, those with characteristics of long-term success… they make them feel jealous, so they try to smash them.

Does bullying happen only at children and school age?
Well, bullying, if not treated will extend to adulthood, at home, in friendship, and the workplace.
& Dealing with adult bullying should not happen quietly, it should be confronted, professionally, fearlessly but smartly!
Adult bullying can drag, hurt way more, because it could affect people’s relationships and career.

Q. So, Were you a bully… at school? Are you a bully, as adult?
A. Well, you are not stronger, you are sick, get psychological help!
Q. & Were you a victim of bullying during childhood, and as an adult?
A. Well, you did not do anything wrong, stand stronger, and say no, and talk to a therapist about it!”

#MOI unfortunately, bullying does not stop until the victims stand and confront the bullies, yes, after emotional damage, but it must happen!

“Reading books aloud to children stimulates their imagination and expands their understanding of the world. It helps them develop language and listening skills and prepares them to understand the written word.” by https://www.readingrockets.org/article/reading-your-child

MOMMY, I AM A PACER
the story of Perseverance: FRIENDS ARE SPECIAL
I recall once I was reading with a child, he was supposed to illustrate,
but instead, he took a tissue to wipe the tear off Amber’s face!
Imagination… the power of a book!

Bullying… at what age does it end?

blogger about children mental health, Book for children, Bullying, help a child, victim of bullying

“Bullying… at what age does it end? & is it a form of mental health disorder?

In my opinion, children are all born with angelic characteristics, situations in their life push them to extort their emotions on others.
With time, their actions become more painful, hurtful, deviant; they start mastering different scenarios and targeting
more or specific weak individuals.

If we agree that all children are born with angelic characters, this should rule out the form of mental health disorder, but psychologists are leaning towards considering bullies to more likely have a mental disorder.

Honestly, truly not the scope of my talk today. After witnessing the triangle of bullying for years in my educational career field, I tell you one thing for sure, if the bully, victim, and bystander, had no mental disorders, trust me, with time, all three need psychological therapy and help.

The number one disorder in a classroom, when a child can hurt another and move on with his day with pride…
The number one pain a child can go through, the way he/she feels when intimidated by bullies…

DEAR CHILD, YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
Tell the world how you feel, if you are angry, scream, tell your parents, your school teacher, a friend…

DEAR VICTIM, YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
Speak up, and face the victim, and do not be intimidated to ask for help…

DEAR BYSTANDER, YOU OUGHT TO STAND FOR YOURSELF!
Fearing to face the world is a challenge that starts on a small scale, by standing for others, you learn to stand for yourself… do it, don’t regret it!

DEAR PARENTS, FOR GOD’S SAKE, ACCEPT THE FACT THAT YOUR CHILD IS A BULLY, AND GET HIM THE RIGHT HELP!
& Last, let me ask you one question, at what age does bullying stop?!

”#MOI help your child get over bullying, facing the bullies, and dealing with this vicious disease!
My book, Mommy, I Am a PACER, targets children’s issues at school and will help them and their parents through reading and co-illustrating deal with those issues.
