“Help… she said silently!
You see her every day, you watch her feed her family, you admire her energy, her strength and her ability to take her of everyone else;
You never spoke to her, as she never initiated any subject…
You never approached her, as she always heads out when she feels others coming near…
You never tried, because you never thought about it.
Well, let me share with you a secret, she is dead.
This lady died long ago, she became a robot, her empty life was energized by her duty towards others, her empty heart was filled by giving continuously, as for her soul, she forgot she had one!
Dear friends,
International Women’s Day is approaching, let each one of us make the effort to ensure every person around us has a voice, and their voice is heard, let us make them feel alive, let us remind them that they are loved, let us ensure they remember that they exist!

“Yesterday, a child told me, I prefer to eat alone in class!
I looked at the child and said, how about you join me on a picnic in the school small grass area, as I, myself, would like some quiet time during break.
I did not ask why, I thought he will eventually speak up when comfortable…
I did not ask what do you have for lunch, thinking what if that was the reason behind wanting to be alone…
I did not force any other students to join, I was sure, once they see us, they will join…
We got artistic material and went to the grass area, others started crawling once they saw us, out of curiosity…
I opened a blanket on the grass, where I put some snacks on, then asked the students whether they like to join in by placing their own…
& we started putting together paper kites…
Before the end of the break, all children had eaten, and all were part of the kite group, playing, laughing, and talking to each other…”
#MOI we all have a role, actions speak louder than words, I acted and not investigated, empathy is the secret, try to understand!
“He wasn’t just a little boy, that boy in the class. I watched him grow and witnessed him struggle, but, I stood there watching!
It is the story, the story of bullying, not only written words in a book, or scenes taking place in a movie…. bullying is the reality our children live on a daily basis.
Observe your children’s behavior, the changes in pattern, in dress code, their eating habits, the playing routine, their friendship… bullies will not admit their actions, victims shall not confirm the pain, and bystanders will live with regret!
The bullying disease that took over for generations, will not stop overnight… where does your child fall, under which category? Can you encourage them to speak up?
You may be able to protect them periodically, but the change should happen from within!
The rule of “you are my friend. or will have no friend!” is the statement that we need to push our children to stop using…
The statement of “you cannot attend my birthday” when a whole class is invited except few, is in the hand of adults to set the tone to their children by saying, you either invite the class or only a few, and remember the birthday is a memory for our children to enjoy and not to tease the left outs…
The sarcastic attitude that intimidates a child and humiliates them is forbidden, our child might be outspoken, beautiful, with high skills in academics or physical activities, but the other children have special abilities as well…
Let us help our children take pride in self for what they have and do, but be humble enough to praise others for their achievements and help them reach their potential.
Call it teamwork, call it integrity, honesty, loyalty, respect, responsibility, humility, empathy, compassion, agility, perseverance, humility, fairness… I call it, help them become a PACER!
Mommy, I am A PACER! is a book of 5 short stories for parents and children. The book targets the incidents children survive on a daily basis, and help them, through co-illustration with the author, solve them and freely discuss them when they see the main character Abigail go through the same incidents.
Life is not a book, but at times knowing that someone knows how we feel will help us acknowledge, express, and deal with our own feelings. Hope you get to have your own
and help your child change and be the change in his/her community following ABIGAIL’s footsteps.”

“If uncomfortable seeing pain… try living it!
That is the first solution towards fewer bystanders, more empathists!
That is the solution towards peace, humanity, and a better world.
We can discuss the big picture, wars, terrorism, hunger, genocides… but how about we start on a personal level.
Are you ready to look at your neighbor, shake hands, clear your problems, and forget yesterday, as long as, tomorrow starts with the standards of respect, rights, responsibilities, mutual understanding, and more…
& Last, are you able, to speak up about your pain, if there is someone out there that cares…
You are not alone, your story is not unique, speak up and let your voice be heard… and if you prefer to remain anonymous, send an email to the email listed below, and I promise you, you will find the support you need…”

“It’s Back to School time, Leave no child behind!
With school doors opening, students go back excited to see each other and tell exciting summer stories they lived.
It has always been a beautiful and touchy scenery, except when observing new-comers!
Unfortunately, it is the case in every school, new-comers remain alone, and struggle to fit in.
As parents and educators, that awareness is very important, empathy, as much as it is considered a virtue, it is as well a choice, and reminding our kids to understand other’s position is crucial!
Leave no child behind;
Help them fit in;
& Accommodate differences!
Empathy will save the world, & Change someone’s life!”
#MOI I believe in goodness, I believe that one can change the world; It is a contagious disease, spread love, help others, carry the torch of change!
Join Abigail the main character of MOMMY I AM A PACER, and let your child follow by example.

“It is not the end of the world… it is just another bad hair day!
It is not the end of the world… it is just another bad day!
It is not the end of the world… it is just a bad coffee!
It is not the end of the world… it is just not the right partner!
It is not the end of the world… it is just an out of stock preferred item!
It is not the end of the world… it is just a bad marriage!
Well, true it is not the end of the world, but sometimes the load is heavier that it seems, and other times, we can no longer carry the lightest loads…
So, empathy, look at people with empathy, even if, it is just another bad hair day!
“Racism is the conflict between what eyes see and mind describes.
Colors are not the offending words, it is rather the way we think and see things…
White, I see it as peace, goodness!
Black, to me is the shadow that is most loyal to us and the only one that never let go of us!
Yellow, I see it as hope, energy, clarity!
So next time you want to discuss “color”, try using characterizing thoughts instead, because at the end, we are all good, loyal, and hope for a better world for us and our children!
