Believing is a blessing, blessed, faith, life, Mommy I Am a PACER!, Where is My Angel?

Life is Precious…
“I read something beautiful today by a colleague due to the loss of a young student…
God takes people when they have reached their level of perfection!
Directly, I had this feeling, the conflict of sorrow with gratefulness, Life is precious indeed!

So I said to myself since I am by far not close to perfection, I guess I still have a long way.
Most of us, wherever we are, had and still have a tough period. Starting with the raging virus, to surviving it, to the fear every time we or someone sneezes, to losing people, to missing people for social distancing, to emotional and economical instability…
& for that, I say, life is a bouquet of blessings that outnumber the hurdles…
Sometimes I forget, but when I look closely,
I am reminded by my daughters when I see them happy, succeeding, and energetic;
by the beautiful people in my life and their stories, when I detach myself and watch them moving forward and leaving their problems to dissolve with time;
& mainly when I witness unconditional love spreading over and over again, adding security and joy to others…

Dear Reader,
Whichever one you are, among those I listed, go back to sentence number seven, & remember that you are my bouquet of blessings…
God Bless you & have a great day!

Good morning today…

#Identity, COVID-19, frontline health workers, Heart aching, hug, life, patient, smile, today

“Good morning today
Good morning whichever day
Are you ready to end the week, or
Are you ready to start the weekend?
The days correlate one after the other
The news duplicate from one country to the other
Number of people infected with the virus, to
Number of people we lost to the virus, to
Number of people suffering from the virus, to
Number of people who survived the virus…
Are we becoming a number,
Do we still have an identity?

My heart is aching
Aching for a paused life
A life we learned to value
A company we learned to cherish
A hug, a kiss, a hand to hold

My heart is aching
Missing getting dressed to work in an office
Missing putting lipstick and not smudging it under the mask
Missing shaking guests’ hands
Missing… your smile

My heart is aching
Aching for those exiting this world alone
Aching for those isolated with the virus alone
Aching for those no one can near
Without protective clothing, masks, gloves, and shield
My heart is aching, for you my dear”

My heart is aching
Aching for the frontline health workers
Aching for YOU, those transporting the VIRUS
Aching for YOU, those caring for the VIRUS
Aching for YOU, those treating the VIRUS
The VIRUS, my heart stands by you dear patient
You might be lonely, and physically alone, but hope you hear
WE STAND BY YOU, KEEP HOPE FLOATING, FIGHT, FIGHT FIGHT
As for YOU frontline health workers, YOU ARE MY HEROES!
God bless you all and your loved ones!
Keep safe, Keep distance, Keep sane!

When I decided the end, I was actually…

blog, Divorce, life, new beginning, the end

“When I decided the end, I was actually planning a new beginning!

It is sad that girls at a young age, when they imagine the future, it is partly about love, the proposal, the wedding, the flowers… they dream, and at times, they plan… As I recall, I barely had that dream, I wanted to make someone of myself, I wanted a big family, I wanted to cook, I wanted to be the factory providing the beautiful product, I wanted to be a journalist, I wanted to tell the story!
All I did, back then, was write. At school, I wrote; at bedtime, I wrote in my diary; and my outings were writing at the beach…

So why I started with the statement, it is sad, because it is important to know at a young age, and it is important to tell our young girls, that, one day, when they stand at that crossroad, to decide on the future, the focus of the wedding, is rather the marriage, how to work on the unity, how to overcome obstacles, how to get used to live the couple successfully, and make a WE that was once an I, and how most importantly it is to invest in that wedding picture while making a home of the dream house!

Crossroads, we face them many times in life; with people, places, jobs, and state of mind… what matters is how we deal with them and perceive change.
Well, a topic deep at the heart of every step in our life, widely and honestly discussed heart to heart in my novel-biography Where is My Angel?”

#MOI there is a beginning for something every new day, make the best out of it!

Are you ready for a new day?

life, live, revolt, steep hill, waiting for tomorrow

“Are you ready for a new day?
it is the question we never ask ourselves, while it is a question that requires determination and assertiveness.

Like the flow of water in the river, days are passing,
like an over circulated road, wrinkles are deepening,
and like the old pictures, our mirror is looking sepia colors…

Am I spending my days thinking about the past?
Am I spending my days waiting for the next day?
Am I spending my day living the day as it is packaged?
Well, let me assure you, I wish our life had come with a manual or a road map, but no, it does not, and the only rules that apply to one’s life are practically the ones we lived by, practically by accepting them, or never thought why we accepted them, or feared questioning them.

Few among us revolt, and take a sharp turn in life, and walk up a steep hill. Those few may or may not succeed in life, but surely will have a story to tell.
The excitement of the story is based on our daring state of mind. If asked one might say, nine to five job, marriage, kids, braces, separation, probably divorce… while others might say, I traveled, hit rock bottom many times, tried different jobs, my heart broke many times, I am married now, happy, satisfyingly well-off, planning to…

The difference, one waits for events to happen, the other one rides every wave, and discovers the dark spots in the ocean fearfully, but end up living fearlessly!

So, are you ready for a new day? satisfaction does not mean wait for the end, there is no time appointed for a full stop… Satisfaction, rather means, enjoy the sepia colors as they are just another phase, make sure your embrace your wrinkles as each tells a story, and last, look forward to the new day and let this day have an adventure to tell!”

The pain is not stopping… Beirut Blast August 4, 2020

alive, Beirut blast, ground zero, life, living, painful, wreckage

The pain is not stopping… Oh if you can see what I am seeing right now!
I am standing in the middle of ground zero where Beirut Blast of August 4, 2020 took place at 6:08 EEST… Should I say more, no words can describe the disaster!
In our culture we say, may it be mentioned and never happen again, in steel and not in souls, at least you are among the living… all true, but are those people living and alive?!
Are those people, the ones picking up the wreckage of their homes, living and alive?
Are those people, the ones hanging plastic on their doors and windows so they can sleep in, living and alive?
Are those people, the ones dragging their mattress by the main door of the house to sleep at night fearing burglars would rob the rest of their belongings, living and alive?
Are those people, the ones walking, who lost a family member whom their blood is still staining the walls as they walk around the house, living or alive?
Are those people, the ones without a full roof above their head, living or alive?
Are those people, the women who lost a husband while waiting for him to join for dinner, living or alive?
Are those people, the children who lost a parent, living or alive?
Are those people, the children who lost their favorite blanket, toy, outfit… living or alive?
Are those people, the families that lost the walls that were keeping them safe, the car that was driving them to work, the hand that was patting them reassuring them that all will be okay, living or alive?
Are those people, name it, close your eyes and see it, living or alive?

Well, they are breathing, but are they living or alive?!
Well, they are those people, but are they treated as humans?
Well, where is the human conscience of the people behind the blast!
Those people are probably living in a House but will it ever be Home again?!”
#MOI standing on ground zero of Beirut Blast August 4, 2020 @ 6:08 EEST, standing in the heart of my hometown, standing with pain aching my heart, a pain that is not getting any less, and wondering, will this hometown ever be home again?!

The Continuity…

“The continuity…
Eventually, things will change, & hope you would like the new YOU.
Let me tell you a short story, I was discussing that point with a friend of mine the other day…
She was feeling anxious and sinking in her own life, that by the way did not change.

The people in our life are still the same, the people in our home are still the same, and the days rolling are still the same, but… the circumstances, the fear from the unknown, and the foggy tomorrow are not the same; additionally, we are not the same!
We are living the uncertain, and that changes people, it makes us sink and bounce, it makes us cry and laugh, and it makes us fear happiness!
We worry about our loved ones, we worry about their future, and we worry about our sanity!
Are we still the same… no, we are changing, we are no longer the person we were at the beginning of the outbreak.
& that is the continuity… the survival skills, the care for others’ pressure, and the care for self-concern, that is the change we have become!
Despite my will, this pandemic made of me a new Person”
