“How to reset… your life!
Well, it is Sunday morning, and a good day of the week to launch new thoughts.
If anyone tells you it is easy, actually it is not;
but if anyone says you cannot do it, or you cannot do it alone, actually you can!
The difference between sinking and rising is a very thin line, it is called WILL.

…With a smile I used to start my busy days, forcing myself to move on, and reminding myself that I am a self-healer. I kept on sinking. Soon after, I found a message, showing me the path of forgetfulness. The message came in a bottle, I used to start reading it at the end of the day, but sadly never view its bottom. The person who was conquering the new journey with fierceness, started falling apart and behind and that person was me. My outside was glowing and shining, while my inside was deteriorating and torn into pieces across the continents. Despite all the pain, my heart never neared hatred. Instead I kept on waiting for the light to pop from the darkened alleys. Like thirsty lost ones in the desert seeing illusions of water, I was waiting for the day the rays glowed again from the dark corner to bring everyone back… my optimism was good and bad. Good because it gave me hope and bad because waiting made me sink even deeper. My feelings were extreme, and at times I could not control the heaps; both extremes were heavy, and a solution was due. Unfortunately I saw the message in a bottle, but fortunately, I had a good friend. …”

“He wasn’t just a little boy, that boy in the class. I watched him grow and witnessed him struggle, but, I stood there watching!
It is the story, the story of bullying, not only written words in a book, or scenes taking place in a movie…. bullying is the reality our children live on a daily basis.
Observe your children’s behavior, the changes in pattern, in dress code, their eating habits, the playing routine, their friendship… bullies will not admit their actions, victims shall not confirm the pain, and bystanders will live with regret!
The bullying disease that took over for generations, will not stop overnight… where does your child fall, under which category? Can you encourage them to speak up?
You may be able to protect them periodically, but the change should happen from within!
The rule of “you are my friend. or will have no friend!” is the statement that we need to push our children to stop using…
The statement of “you cannot attend my birthday” when a whole class is invited except few, is in the hand of adults to set the tone to their children by saying, you either invite the class or only a few, and remember the birthday is a memory for our children to enjoy and not to tease the left outs…
The sarcastic attitude that intimidates a child and humiliates them is forbidden, our child might be outspoken, beautiful, with high skills in academics or physical activities, but the other children have special abilities as well…
Let us help our children take pride in self for what they have and do, but be humble enough to praise others for their achievements and help them reach their potential.
Call it teamwork, call it integrity, honesty, loyalty, respect, responsibility, humility, empathy, compassion, agility, perseverance, humility, fairness… I call it, help them become a PACER!
Mommy, I am A PACER! is a book of 5 short stories for parents and children. The book targets the incidents children survive on a daily basis, and help them, through co-illustration with the author, solve them and freely discuss them when they see the main character Abigail go through the same incidents.

“Sometimes I wish someone would understand, said the teenager!
It is the only true statement that is not declared, simply because when they become teenagers, their ego grows faster that their body or mind.
The struggle to exist, becomes a main concern among friends when one of them leads and decides which one belongs to the clan…
The smart ones shies away, because they are bullied for their academic achievements…
The popular ones, whether boys or girls, take over the sweets ones, and erase their existence…
The outspoken ones, intimidate the genuine ones…
The ones with long hair, clear skin, aligned body, and no glasses, attract the muscled boys…
The loud ones, the tall ones, the ….
Let me tell you how I see it, a perfect jungle, and the winner is, no it it not the one that was blessed with what they believe
is perfection of the physical appearance or loud voice.
While those are busy brushing their hair, whether boys or girls, the others are learning to deal with rejection, and mastering the skills of survival. Although the teen age years are crucial to existence, and for some it is a matter of life and/or no life, but believe me, at times, those days are what makes those kids the masters of tomorrow
Can someone help, yes, children, parents and educators! Parents by raising a child with strong character, and educators by being invisible mediators since most crimes take place at schools; as for the children themselves, I say two things: life is not a contest with size, popularity, hair and skin color, etc… life is contest of righteousness and sometimes silence is the winner, it is about the skills that would last you a lifetime, and one of them is perseverance, it is about respect of self and others, it is about endorsing in others what we see in self, and believing in others’ potential and cheering for their success, it is about teamwork, being genuine, defending the weak, and speaking up for the voiceless, accepting others, understanding them, it is about empathy, it is about learning to solve conflicts peacefully and not being bystanders… this is life!
#MOI LET US INSTILL IN OUR CHILDREN THE POWER OF CHANGE RATHER THAN LITTLE MONSTERS
