“After love…
I woke up the next morning, with a ring on my finger…
The rock under the stars…
The stairs we sat on…
The comeback that wrecked me…
The day I said who cares…
He used the fireplace to dry my clothes…
He covered my ears with his hands…
The wine bottle…
The ending… or rather a new beginning.

Between my biography and Ale’s life (Alexandra) there was zillion moments of love, passion, and lust.
What came after love, well, the fear of that question held us back many times, but ignoring that question made us embark on that journey.

Will there be tears? yes, of joy and happiness.
Will there be downfalls? yes, of disappointment and then, to prove existence.
Will there be regrets? yes, if you are stuck, and no, if you use the past as stepping stones for next.
Will there be next? yes, yes, and yes, give yourself the right to love, a chance to experience the next love.
So what’s after love? next love and always love!

As a woman who experienced all of the above, I tell you, it was worth it!”

“When relationships become a comfort zone…
I would like to be rational & say when people/friends/best friends hurt us, it is unintentional, and they have their own problems… But how could we ignore the pain they caused us!

You ask yourself many questions:

Should I take it personally?
How recurrent is the event?
Is it time to react?
How should I respond?
It is worth it to speak up?
When should I discuss it?
Is this person growing a new personality?

& should I react? is the last question.
#MOI thinking of relationships, I believe the more people feel comfortable, the more they allow themselves to cross boundaries.
Depending on how close one is, sometimes space is needed to evaluate the pain caused by others and decide when, if, & how should one react.

I am Badiaa Hiresh, I was born in 1964 in Lebanon, where I lived and worked, raising two daughters Vanessa and Tiffany. At age ten, the civil war started. Living in fear and anxiety made me grow up wanting freedom and peace.
My dream was to live in the United States.
At age 25, I shipped out to the United States. I used the term shipped as I took the only way out of Lebanon, a ship sailing to Cyprus since the airport was closed.
Living in the United States gave me an international perspective on my home country.
I was born a jeweler, worked in the family jewelry business and shifted to education when I had my first child.
If you think the war was in my country only, read my Biography, Where Is My Angel?, and realize the war I survived on a personal level.
If you read Mommy, I Am a Pacer; you will understand the importance of childhood to me.
& if you read Life’s Detours – Alexandra’s Choices, you will realize my goal of writing and the reason behind my blog Your Everyday Coffee where I encourage every woman to speak up.
I write to inspire, some events are real and others are fiction. As I always say:
It’s a life, not a book;
It’s a woman, not a character;
It’s reality, not a story.

“I used to tell my kids when they returned from the parties in the early morning hours <you are early!> better than saying you are late.

& that, my friends, is communication.

A simple example of successful communication:
* Choose your battle
* Choose your words
* Choose the time of discussion
* Choose the tone of voice
* Decide on the outcome you want to see
* Control your reaction
* Act
* Know when to stop talking

It’s not easy, but with practice, one shall learn to set the boundaries and state their opinion while focusing on the goal of the conversation instead of saying I AM THE BOSS here.

#MOI deep down, a true boss knows how to handle situations, whether on a personal or professional level!

“All I wanted was to become a published author!
So I told myself, you don’t need a boat to sail; close your eyes and go with the flow!
I started typing, and below is my 3rd published book and novel.
