An emotional day ahead, I slept for 2 hours only…

Are farewells harder than what we expect?

Today, I say goodbye to a very special man, the uncle like a father; the unconditional love; the mentor; the inspirational spirit…

I will miss our chats, your calls, messages, & stories… I will follow your guidance!!

Until we meet again, it’s time you reconnect with those missing you…

1st time, I was not expecting it…
2nd time, I felt overpowered…
3rd time, it became their way of acting…
4th time, I lost my identity…
5th time…
Then, one day, I looked around me and saw people talking to me while I was not hearing them; they were looking at me with pity & I saw those who looked up to me, allowing others to mistreat them…

The story of abuse…
It comes in many forms; if we do not set the tone and protect ourselves, we cannot save and protect others!
It is okay if once we were weak, but it is not acceptable to be weak twice, and definitely not forever!

About last night…

About last night…
Did you all watch FATHER OF THE BRIDE? Well tonight was Mother of the Bride…

It was time to set their commitments & cut the cake; the music wasn’t well heard, I rushed to ask the DJ to boost the volume, & by the time I came back, they had put the rings on!
Then I tried to move closer to the front of the table to see them cutting the cake, by the time I reached the perfect location, I heard the champagne 🥂 popping, and that was done… at least I got to eat delicious cake🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️
So, there are no perfect pictures of the night, but I know there was a great love uniting two dear ones in my heart…
To my daughter, the bride-to-be, and the son I never had, I say:
May your life be as perfect as your love
Our family not only added one person but did, indeed, grow by uniting two families!
To you both, Cheers to the ABGs!
