People are sweet, and to me, everyone I meet becomes a friend till further notice, so friends are sweet.
Friends are like chocolate, indeed;
they make us happy temporarily;
we want more of them in our life, surely like an addiction…
& one day, we discover that we totally forgot about the presence of some people or friends in our life… & we start wondering whether they ever were!
As I said, people and friends are like chocolate, the sweet bite with a bitter aftertaste; I wish not to become one of them, ever. I wish to always remain the sweet bud!

& one day, we find ourselves at a crossroads, one taking us to duty, the other to love, another to happiness, and a last one to the mystery; It is essential to choose…
No regrets; time is ticking!
#MOI & the other sentence would say:
I was at a crossroads; I did what I had to do, what I saw convenient at that time; I tried to love, & it was occasional; I tried to sink into a career, and I succeeded; I took the mystery road, I continued writing, and I became an internationally published author; I am still trying…
The bottom line, we accept what we get but must keep on trying as, from where I am standing today, I believe the end of a journey lies in the process of reaching our goal…
#MOI no goal is eternal, keep moving, developing, and reaching out to the next, and then you can say, I tried, no regrets!

Chances in life are a blessing. They come to us when least expected to keep us motivated and give us hope toward continuity.
Chances are signs; I see them as a wake-up call from above reminding us of our choices. We cannot let go of ourselves and accept what we are going through without trying to change.
The change relates to ourselves, and our situation; it is a package. But what if that one chance we wanted, started yesterday, would you try grabbing it, holding on to the last threads that you can catch?

Yesterday is a phase, we need to see time as a continuous cycle, not a gone stage. Never assume the end until decided by you!”

I am Badiaa Hiresh, I was born in 1964 in Lebanon, where I lived and worked, raising two daughters Vanessa and Tiffany. At age ten, the civil war started. Living in fear and anxiety made me grow up wanting freedom and peace.
My dream was to live in the United States.
At age 25, I shipped out to the United States. I used the term shipped as I took the only way out of Lebanon, a ship sailing to Cyprus since the airport was closed.
Living in the United States gave me an international perspective on my home country.
I was born a jeweler, worked in the family jewelry business and shifted to education when I had my first child.
If you think the war was in my country only, read my Biography, Where Is My Angel?, and realize the war I survived on a personal level.
If you read Mommy, I Am a Pacer; you will understand the importance of childhood to me.
& if you read Life’s Detours – Alexandra’s Choices, you will realize my goal of writing and the reason behind my blog Your Everyday Coffee where I encourage every woman to speak up.
I write to inspire, some events are real and others are fiction. As I always say:
It’s a life, not a book;
It’s a woman, not a character;
It’s reality, not a story.

Precious messages!
& here is what it was all about at The International Center for Human Sciences (CISH) – UNESCO, Byblos in partnership with Hanns Seidel, the pictures say it all!
Yes, we are all born for a reason.
Coming to this world is a blessing, dreaming is a choice, daring is personal, & chasing your dream is a decision!
My book LIFE DETOURS, ALEXANDRA’S CHOICES & my intervention during the round table discussion were both under the title “CHASE YOUR DREAM, BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!” We wrapped up with the UN Slogan for 2022 and adding here my message to every woman:
“You deserve a clap everyday,
but a special one on this day!

A standing ovation for standing your grounds in a bias world…

A well earned pause.
