What makes us forget an event we lived in, and did we really forget?
Is it denial, wishful thinking, repressed memory, rejection of reality, ego, or simply a phase we want to fold behind while we try to move on?
No matter the reason, sometimes we do not want to stir the past, and other times, we simply want to pretend it never happened; bottom line, we can never deny it existed, and no one should deny our pain or judge our reaction.
