“Let’s get a bit personal… This guy has been getting in touch with me since Christmas. First we were going to have lunch, but he tested positive to COVID. Then we spoke a few times, and he kept on sending good morning messages. I did not want to meet him as I was not comfortable meeting people due to the fact that they can carry the virus to me.
Now that I am vaccinated, I told him that I am ready to see him after he blamed me for not answering, he did not reply, but he keeps on sending good morning messages.
Let’s rule things out:
- He is not married
- I am willing to give him a chance
The questions I have:
- Why? Is it me? My character? & if so, why is he still sending messages?
- Am I a plus one on his phone contact list?
- Should I block him, because I am disgusted?
Actually, I will sending him a message now saying please do not send me good morning messages anymore.
My instinct tells me he is insecure although he sounded comfortable talking to me.”

“The feeling when your ex finds love…
First, let me tell you, I knew something happened when he stopped contacting me for coffee. Then, when we occasionally met, he did not make eye contact, then, the best one was when he unfriended me on Facebook!
I knew something happened but I did not know to what extent, then someone confirmed it to me.
Now, as I am talking to you, I wish you can hear me scream. A silent scream that is saying:
- Oh, now you know how to love
- Oh, now you care for someone that you want to make happy
- Oh, now you believe in having a relationship
- Oh, now you want to have someone in your bed
- Oh, now you don’t mind someone asking you about your day
- Oh, now you are putting effort into a discussion
- Oh, now you are flirting
- Oh, now you want physical contact
Oh, Oh, Oh, … I am screaming from the bottom of my lungs, I am angry, I am devastated!
Am I jealous? Oh! Probably a little. Not because he found love, but simply because he is daring to trust love again!
I found love many time. The rebound, the rebound, the rebound again… I found a problem in each rebound because the problem was in me, I couldn’t trust again!
So, if you ask me whether I am jealous, I say, yes, simply because he is not as damaged as I am from our relationship, and in other words, it looks like, pain was not relative to him as it was to me!
So, yes, I am jealous of the factor that he can easily move forward with his life! But…
I will be watching, because, I am happy someone else will be there to be the witness! Am I right to feel this way?!”

Oops! I just missed love…
“A statement I told myself this morning when I woke up to an empty house… but wait, the house has been empty for more than two years. My eldest, the one that just relocated to the States, has been living alone for years, and my youngest left this house to make her own home back in March 2020, and since then I have been living alone…
I guess I lost track of time because time to me is a spacial value more than it is the number of minutes. I lost track because I kept busy with work. I lost track because I ignored my personal life and my duties toward myself.
Did I deliberately do so?
Did I feel that my duties toward myself should not be a priority?
Or did I fear to awaken a dormant pain caused by the past?
Sometimes I wonder whether I will drop in love again since it looks like I am fearing commitment, and when I look back to wonder and tell myself “Oops! I just missed love…”, I will admit, at least to myself, that no, I did not just miss love, I lost love long ago, and I left my love heart in the past!”
#MOI to you my friends, remember to carry your heart along. Use this piece of advice that I would say to myself as well when I wonder “COULD HEARTS BE MENDED” from my upcoming book, well, I tell you, you wouldn’t know until you try again!

5 steps to start a great weekend :
Greet your colleagues in the morning with a smile, it’s contagious!
Grab a treat on your way to work and hand it to your subordinate, thanking them for the past week, it’s rewarding & it will energize their Friday!
Recognize a colleague for the way they achieved a specific task, it will make them walk tall!
Engage in a conversation with a loner colleague, make it personal not work related, it will make them feel seen!
Call the team for a quick meeting asking them about their week, and opinion on a specific project, let them feel heard, it will send them home feeling valued!
Have a great launch everyone, we are almost there and ready for the weekend!
