In my heart, I felt a torn feeling, a deep wound, and a question:
Why couldn’t my parents accept me? But I couldn’t blame them; they were not the type of family who could adapt to change. They were a Catholic family who believed that God gave us what we de-served. I was Catholic at heart, but in my mind, there was a call to dare to explore the blessings we were born to discover and the dreams we were on earth to pursue.
