Step 37 into the 2025 Journey…

Today, I witnessed the birth of dreams and the true spirit of kindness.

Children shared how they envisioned themselves as adults and then discussed the meaning of kindness toward others and instances when others have been kind to them.

We concluded our time by discussing ways to pay it forward and how we can make the world a better place by doing good without expecting anything in return.

Listening to the children and hearing their big dreams of touring the world, becoming doctors, teachers, parents, and living happily made me ponder one question…

What if we allowed this generation to lead and shape the world?

“How does love grow? asked a child in a letter to their teacher…

There are different kinds of love, answered the teacher; the unconditional between a parent and a child, the friendship, the BFF, the first love, the best love, the forever love, and the love of a child to parents.

But how does it grow? The child asked again.
One kind of love is born big and never stops; & other kind is nurtured through actions, time, and memories, said the teacher.

But why do people who loved each other once stop loving each other? The child asked again.
Because people grow like love, they change, and when they do, the way they see things and other people change, said the teacher.

But should we not love each other if it might change, asked the child?
Love is beautiful, and it teaches us how we can turn things around, said the teacher. Yes, some kinds of love might; yes, people change and grow; that is what we need to learn. If we fall while running, we do not stop running; instead, we run differently and ensure we keep running!”
