What a day… I tried avoiding Facebook most of the day, but I had to come back to wish you all a special day.
A day full of emotions, mothers near, mothers elsewhere, and mothers in heaven… A heartbreaking day, I just wished I could hold a few hands and say, they are proud of the person you have become, but… For those who are blessed to still be able to hold the hand that rocked them to sleep, hold it tight, & do it on behalf of those who are missing it.
Happy Mother’s Day for those here, there, and above… God bless those who gave us the title!

Today is International Day of Happiness, and the theme is HAPPIER TOGETHER. Lend a smile, Lend a hand of support, & Lend togetherness… Let us not leave anyone behind, or alone!
The International Day of Happiness was established in 2013 by the United Nations to emphasize the importance of happiness on a global scale. What can you do today? The theme speaks for itself. Consider yourself the epicenter of all the beauty in nature and be the focal point of life and happiness. Take care of yourself; be mindful of your inner self and surroundings. If things are holding you back, find a way to detach emotionally. If you feel like you can’t survive rootless, remember the life cycle of butterflies. Be present in the moment, appreciate the blessings, and recognize the source that sustains you. In return, spread positivity and kindness, and remember that not everyone can reach a state of mindfulness. Remind yourself: I am the beginning, the flow, the happiness of others, and eternity. Happy International Day of Happiness!

Coming to this world is a blessing, dreaming is a choice, daring is personal, & chasing your dream is a decision! A few years back, I had an intervention honoring women for International Women’s Day, that was my opening statement, and I wrapped it with a standing ovation saying: “You deserve a clap every day, but a special one on this day; A standing ovation for standing your ground in a biased world; A well-earned pause!”
